Welcome
Who doesn't love holiday weeks? Lying around in your PJ's, catching up on Netflix, drinking cocoa.
While you're lounging, now would be a good time to start getting your images ready for the next SeniorInspire Photographers I'd Like to Follow contest.
We're going to start accepting images for the contest on Monday, December 28th. Be watching in our Facebebook group for more details.

Dropbox Killer
I've always used DropBox to help prepare for sessions. I use it to create folders of any photos my client might have shared as well as anything I'd like to add for inspiration.
I'm sure a lot of you do this too.
But lately I've been stepping out on DropBox and trying something new called Bublup. And I have to say, I'm completely blown away!
Just like with DropBox, you can add photos to your Bublup account either on the web or with a smartphone app - they offer both iphone and android versions. But the Bublup app is more well thought out for this kind of thing and just straight up more fun to look at.
A few things I love...
- You can easily add notes or checklists to any folder.
- You can email ideas and photos straight to your bublup account for you to review and file later.
- And the coolest feature - You can roll any folder into a nice looking webpage in seconds and then share a link with clients, even if they don't have a Bublup account.
Check this one out - it's free!

Meet the Photographer

Our Interview with Paige Day
With the cold weather we couldn't think of anyplace we'd rather be than sunny California. So we headed out to Morgan Hill, CA for a quick visit with one of our SeniorInspire favorites, Paige Day! Here's what happened...
SeniorInspire I see both your daughter and son have worked on the Voice. You must be very proud of them. Tell me a little about that.
Paige Day Asking a proud Mom an open question about her children...that can be dangerous. Do you have a few hours? Lol! Both of my kids live in LA and work in the entertainment industry. My daughter is a professional dancer/choreographer who works on The Voice quite a bit, and my son is an actor/model. Last year for the finale show they were casting dancers and some models for one of the performances, and my daughter and son both booked the show. They had never worked a job together, so it was really fun to see them on the same stage. Having both kids living their dream with careers in that world is surreal. I have some fun stories about their experiences and the cool opportunities they've had to appear in movies, tv, and for my daughter to tour with people like Beyoncé and Jennifer Lopez to name a few. It's really fun and exciting. As a Mom, to get to see your children's hard work and sacrifices pay off, is the ultimate joy. I am very proud of the people they are.
SI Any chance your son could distract Blake Shelton while your daughter introduces me to Gwen Stefani?
PD No problem! My son would definitely have your back on that!
SI Your work always has a very distinctive, fun, almost edgy style to it. Where do you draw inspiration from?
PD Wow! Thanks for that! I really appreciate it. Of course I am blown away daily by all of the amazing talent in our industry featured on Senior Inspire! Most of my inspiration comes from celebrities, models and fashion. I love avant-garde and editorial pictorials. I like Vogue Magazine, the Free People and Zara websites, music videos, and album covers. High fashion, designer and fragrance ad campaigns, celebrity Instagram posts, etc. I especially like to draw inspiration from photography that I admire that is very different from my style, and very different from my senior portrait clients, because that's what pushes my creativity and ensures that my work always reflects my own style. It's fun to see something really edgy and cool, knowing I would never shoot a high school senior like that, but being inspired to infuse that vibe in some way into my work. It keeps me excited and passionate even after 18 years!
SI Do you ever get tired of the nice California weather? If you had to move to another state, where would you go?
PD I gotta be honest...I'm a lifelong California girl. I'm from Northern California and I love it. I have lived in a few other places and I know every state has something beautiful going on, but California is home. If I had to choose another state I guess I might choose Oregon. I lived there for a while and it's beautiful, but I'm definitely planning to stay in California.
SI Christmas is right around the corner, Is there anyone you wish you could spend Christmas with that you can't this year?
PD I have a small family and we don't have big holiday gatherings. My parents and grandparents are no longer with us. So I won't be impacted like so many other families will be this year.
SI Out of Santa's 8 reindeer (Rudolf doesn't count), who's your favorite?
PD Lol...as reindeers go, I'll have to say "Prancer" because he sounds like he's got some sass!
SI Yes, he does have that going for him...
